The following by apple

I'm not an apple fanboy, I do think that the things that they create are great and other things that pointless and idiotic.

I know they didn't create the tablet market, all they did was bring it to the consumer market and make things available at a cheap price. Nokia and archos were really the ones that trimph in the tablet market and then slowly faded away around 2009.

Apple didn't even create the mouse, steve jobs who was the ceo of apple, he went practically over the road to xerox and stole the idea for the mouse.

I'm not quite sure about this, did apple actually create the graphical user interface (GUI) or were they the first to bring it to the consumer market? Were apple the ones that brought users away from the command line interface?

I know that they were the first ones to bring changable fonts to an OS. Steve jobs regularrly said that if they didn't put it into their product then microsoft would have never brought it to market.

I love android products as they very customizable and you can do almost anything with it, but one of the problems that I have with android that I find myself tweaking every little aspect of the interface but I suppose that i'm trying to hit the sweet spot of android devices. I only love apple post-PC products when they are jailbroken. IOS might be very simple to use but there's virtually no customization.

The rate of android smartphones coming out

I know a lot of people that seems to say that apple bring out iphones too close from each other with little changes but coming from a Techguy (276) all I say is 'if you look at the likes of samsung or HTC, they've brought out far too many phones with subtle changes' sure some of them are high spec phones that really amazing but the amount of off shoot phones samsung made from the galaxy s2 line.

First of all you've got the galaxy Ace then the galaxy skyrocket, then the skyrocket HD and then the skyrocket ace you get the idea. HTC has worse for the naming convention of phones but there's too many to list with HTC so i'll let them slide... For now :)

I kinda get the point with HTC bringing a hell of a lot of smartphones to the business because they weren't really a popular company/wanted to establish a business and they wanted to make sure they got into the business and setting themselves apart from other company's by making HTC sense. HTC sense is a skin produced by HTC that goes over the android operating system for a more unique user experience.
Motorola have the same thing going on. Droid razr, droid razr maxx and a couple of other phones with the word razr in it.

Iphone do come out every year with subtle changes but that's only the exterior if you have a look inside, you'll find out that there's a lot more than meets the eye.

IPad mini rumour

Rumour: Ipad mini coming out with a 7.7 inch display coming out with the resolution with 1024x768.

First of all, apple won't make an ipad this small as steve jobs said in his biography and other websites where he was mentioned said 'before we actually produced the 9.7 inch display, we've tested other inch displays such as the 7.7 inch and the 10.1 and the one that stood out from the group was the 9.7' that's one of the reasons why apple won't make a 7.7 inch display.

2nd reason, if they were going to make a 7.7 inch ipad, they wouldn't keep it at 1024x768 because 1024x768/7.7 = 168 ppi and apple wouldn't make retina display with a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch (ppi) and then put it all the way down to 168. It doesn't make any sense.
Steve jobs said that 9.7 inch tablets are the perfect sweet spot that should never be altered. I know that the company has been taken over by tim cook who I've got a lot of faith in for bringing stunning new devices to the market. I've not got faith in him as a presenter of conferences as he lacks euphemism. If apple did make a 7.7 inch display they would actually dishonour steve jobs and his words.

Pre 3 and Companies

I should have said yesterday that the tegra 3 nvidia chip set has got 4 cores all running at 1.5ghz and then there's a companion core that runs all the background processes such as running the operating system and the low powered apps running at 1.2ghz.

Today i'll be talking about the first of many posts about webos/touchpad/pre 3, but today i'll be focusing on the pre 3 and it's capabilities. The pre 3 came out just a day after HP decided to kill webos. The people who originally created the pre series and the OS was a company called palm, they weren't the most popular company but they always made high industrial manufacted phones with a great perspective on the end user experience.

It all comes down to how the ease of use the operating system. That's why IOS have succeeded in every platform. With the new update coming to mac products you can move seamlessly between devices and practically not see the difference even when it comes down to the multi-touch gestures.

Right back on to pre 3, there's not many apps for the pre 3, lots of apps haven't been ported over the pre 3, they are either the pre 2 or the pre pixi apps as the resolution of these apps have empty space where nothings happening.

I digressed a little bit. Hopefully i'll be talking about enyo and the open sourcing of webos and what new features it will bring to webos smartphones and tablets.

Nvidia Tegra 3 Chip Sets

Subject for today is going to be the tegra 3 chip sets coming from nvidia. I previously had a rant about the power of phones and tablets being more powerful than laptops. I believe we are already in the post pc era, some people it's coming in the next few years but here's where I believe we are already in it.

I've read the other day that a fully licensed and amazing quality game hit the app store and it was entirally created using the app creation app from apple. The ability to create apps and games right off the ipad without the need of coding knowledge.

With the power of tablets coming out these days are becoming more powerful than our laptops. There's already video/audio editing software. Heck you've even got photoshop already for tablets. With a tablet running quad core you'll be able to render your video way faster than you did it on your laptop.

Sure you've got great games optimized to run on the tegra 3 chip set but for day to day use you aren't going to play these games every day.
I think we should optimize our tablets and phone to run the operating system it's suppose to run. Like IOS, you've got half the cpu power and ram and yet it runs so smoothly and fluent. That's because apple work on the software and the hardware at the same time so that they can work together in perfect harmony.

Introduction and rambles to technology

This is my first blog and i hope of many. I use twitter but i think the 140 characters limit is a bit of a pain when you're trying to write out your thoughts on stuff.

I'm a avid tech reviewer. test out phones in shops and give my thoughts to them and i'd like a job in the media industry where i can blog about technology for a living.

i'm also an animator as well. i specialise in 3D animation, i usually create little 4-40 seconds 3D animations on youtube. they aren't massive projects, just something to keep me entertained or something to do while i'll bored.

I will be giving my thoughts on the latest tech as it comes out like the new phone coming out 'SAMSUNG GALAXY S3' I actually can't wait for this phone, i won't be getting it as i'm a student and i need my money for other things. I own 3 IPhones, one for hacking purposes, 2 laying around collecting dust which i need to get rid of. I've also got a samsung galaxy s i9000 collecting dust as well with a broken screen. My main daily driver is HP Webos Pre 3, It's one of the best phones i've ever had. The keyboard feels so nice in my hands and i'm able to type fast on it, i love the tactile feedback the keyboard gives me. The phone might not have many apps but if you've got emulator apps, well you've got no problem. Play super mario bros or kirby's adventure with the keyboard.
