GTA 5 Delayed/Release date announced

Rockstar has delayed the release date of Grand Theft Auto V out of May of 2013. Instead, the open world blockbuster bound title will release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 17th, 2013.
A PC version, unfortunately, was not announced. My first thought when I head about the delay this morning was that Rockstar was planning to release a PC version alongside the console edition, but that’s not the case. Instead, in the body of the email that announced the new launch date, Rockstar explained the delay with this:
The September release date moves the launch back from its original projected release window of spring 2013 in order to allow additional development time. The biggest, most dynamic and most diverse open world Rockstar Games has yet created, Grand Theft Auto V blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game’s three lead characters, playing all sides of the game’s interwoven story.
“Additional development time” could account for just about anything. Perhaps the game wasn’t testing well, or perhaps it was a little more bug-riddled than Rockstar likes. Regardless, the four month delay from May to September should be enough to get the job done.
Of course, this now makes Grand Theft Auto V a massive contender in the holiday season for games. Rockstar hasn’t released a game in the fall portion of the calendar since before Red Dead Redemption, and the solitude they’ve found in May has lead to huge sales. Now, gamers will be picking between Grand Theft Auto V and the whole slew of holiday games set to launch near it.
Obviously this is very sad news for the people and me who is looking forward to GTA 5, but we've got to look on the brighter side. were going to get a more robust smoother experience, so all the bugs will be taken out and rockstar can really fine tune the game for a better experience and at least we've got a release date now. September 17th 2013.
If sony do end up announcing the PS4 at E3, i think rockstar will be there front and centre and say we are also bringing GTA 5 to the PS4 with amazing new graphics and lightning/shaders beyond our belief.
thanks for reading and i'll be doing a podcast about it soon.

Apple are going down like RIM

I bet you've probably heard from every tech blogger out there that there's been something going on with apple in the last 2 or 3 weeks. Nope it's not something behind closed doors, it's got something to do with their stock. Apple's stock in the last 18 months has been falling slowly and slowly and now in the last 72 hours, they've falled from the most valuable company in the world from having $700 stock to just under $400 and erox mobil is now the most valuable company in the world right now.

I said this about 6 months ago to a year ago that apple could have the same fate that RIM has. Apple were steadily coasting on first place for about 18 months and now they are just second. This has got to be a real kick in the teeth for apple. My uncle seems to think that apple could be bringing out a new product this year. I'm not talking about a iPad. I mean a new revolutionary new product that could change the way we look at the catagory it comes out in.
See apple have been on a 3 year patter:-
2001 - IPOD
2004 - IPOD NANO
2007 - IPHONE
2010 - IPAD
2013 - ?

i'm going to say that they aren't going to bring out a new product. I know there's loads of rumours going round that they'll actually release a IPHONE MINI or an IPHONE with a 4.8inch display. i don't think that apple will fragment their phone again by bringing out a new display again and making all the developers updating their apps to support the new display. There's also rumours that they'll bring out a Smartwatch, although i do like the idea, i don't see apple bringing one out. I know they've just killed the little Ipod Nano with a touch screen display to maybe make way for the smartwatch but honestly i don't think they will.

P.S the thing i was talking about before that's behind closed doors. In the last 18 months, apple have spent a billion pound on research and product and development. so there could be something else in stock for us but i don't think there is. COmment down below and thanks for reading

T-Mobile G1 The first android powered smartphone

i know it was the first one and it takes many different versions to get something right. The G1 was a major step forward to compete with the iPhone (which has just celebrated being 6 years old, from when it was first released to the world). There's a lot of history between Apple and Google, First of all, there's Eric schimdt who is Google's CEO. Well he was part of the Apple's board of directors and had some of the say that went behind the device and how Google products were going to be presented. There's many different features that have been recently taken out of iOS due to Google's contract with apple has ran out and apple didn't really want the name Google in their product anymore. The youtube application was taken out and Apple maps was reintroduced as a direct competitior to google maps. that's as much detail i'm going into, I might do another blog about it later.

Now for the original reason why i'm here, the T-Mobile G1 was a very ugly phone, compared to the phones that we have today, like the HTC one X or the Samsung galaxy S3. Nokia phones seems to be more prettier than the phones i've seen from the android side or the blackberry side.
There's other devices that are pig-ugly, THere's the kyocera echo and then microsoft Kin.

just a little side note, the T-mobile G1 is actually running jellybean and no it's not an official release, it's based of the cygenomod rom of jellybean. It's certainly not fast and it's certainly not stable but it just shows that even the first android powered smartphone has the latest operating system on it.

Overuse of Android

CES 2013 was what everybody in the tech industry was talking about, Everybody who was there, everybody was following the coverage, Some things better than others were announced. One thing that got more attention than other products at CES was TV's, not just any TV's there was 3D 4K displays costing over $20,000. Samsung announced a 117 inch 4k Display that cost $42,000 which is a bit extensive in this day of age where money is tight. I know it's just a state of technology but the price they have put it at is a bit too much.

Speaking of too much, Samsung have really gone overboard with their use of android, They've brought out refridgators, tumble dryers, Washing machines, dishwashers powered by android. Seriously! I don't get what the point is, Thye've already got cameras running android but with the camera, i don't think it's that bad because you can actually use the camera as your daily driver and instead of phoning people (the normal way) you can just ring them using skype and you can automatically upload the pictures to facebook, twitter and instagram, So you don't really have to connect the camera to a computer and then upload to the social networking sites, You can connect to Wi-fi and upload them. you can also use the camera for games, it might be a little bit unconfortable for holding the device for games because of the lens but there's always an option to play games and browse facebook and access your emails. It's just basically android in camera.

With tumble dryers and fridges, like having android in your kitchen might be a bit over doing it, I can see how it would work on a fridge because you'd be able to access a cooking or ingredients app so you can create all things wonderful but on a tumble dryer or washing machines, just sounds awful to handle.

Thanks for reading and that's my honest opinion. www.youtube.com/techguy276. Check me out

Facebook Phone Maybe? HTC Sense

Here we go with another facebook phone rumor, it's the longest running umorgoing in the tech industry. There's a couple of rumors knocking about that apple might bring out a smaller iPhone called the iPhone mini and it's going to be priced at $99 to $149 but i'll leave that for another blog.

Facebook did end up partnering with HTC on a phone and then created the HTC CHA cha and facebook have claimed it's not a facebook phone but it's obviously assisted by Facebook. THe HTC cha cha has got a physical keyboard and from the picture, you'll be able to see the little facebook button on the bottom. Obviously with it being a HTC phone, it's running HTC sense, The skin that manufactueres put on over android to make it different from the competiton.

if you're viewing an image through galley on android, and if you press the facebook button, you'll be able to upload those pictures straight to facebook and remember this was 2.3.4 and you didn't have a great photo sharing option that you have on Ice cream sandwich and later devices. If you're on your homescreen, you'd click your facebook button and it would pop up just like how iOS handles updating your status for facebook.

Yeh i got a little bit off topic with the HTC Cha cha but that brings me onto the next topic, The facebook Phone. Since Facebook's stage conference is coming up soon, facebook might be annoucing their facebook phone or they could just be bringing the facebook messenger app to the iPad.
Whatever Facebook announce, i will be sure to update you on the news. I'll probably do a podcast about it

Thanks for reading, i've got overwrite on and i don't know how to disable it at the moment, so i'm just going to leave it

iPhone 6 years old today

Well you've probably assumed from the title that i'm talking about the iPhone being 6 years old. Yes 6 years ago today, Steve jobs came out on stage to reveal the next revolutionary step of the tech industry. Not only did it change the iPhone market but it changed the way we look at smartphones today, i'd say 90% of the phones out there have a virtual keyboard instead of the traditional qwerty keyboards. Just look at the keyboards that you find on a blackberry or a Pre 3. Well that's what smartphones used to be like. Steve jobs stated that if phones wanted to add more buttons, the manufactur would have had to create a new phone to compisate for the new design but with the iPhone, if they wanted to change the way you use the phone, all apple would do is change the UI.

You've got all this space with a qwerty keyboard on the blackberry and it was there either you like it or not, it's not going to go away and the UI isn't going to change that but with the iPhone and at the time, a 3.5inch display was massive for it's time and with having a large display, you could have the virtual keyboard any time you wanted to enter in on the text field.

In 2009 that's when i first aquired an iPhone and that's when i was in the 21st century, I went from a sony ericsson k800i to an iPhone. Even though the k800i wasn't old at all. i got the k800i for christmas 2008 and then 6 months later, i got enough money to buy an iphone from my uncle. I've actually still got that same iPhone with me and none of the physical buttons work anymore, i can only activate the phone if i've got a 3.5mm headphone jack and plug it into the port.

Thanks for reading. 6 years ago it was when steve jobs walked out on stage and wowed the crowd by mentioning 3 different features, 'An iPod, A Phone, An internet communitcator' and then with more ephasis 'An iPod, A Phone, An internet communitcator. Are you getting it, these are not 3 seperate devices' and immeditically the crowd cheers ' This is one device and we are calling it iPhone' then the iPhone went from revolutionizing the computer market, the Music industry to changing the Phone industry and now with the iPad, They've created a market which nobody realised what they were missing.

Nintendo Wii U - Nintendo Land

my friend has recently purchased a Wii U. At first i was a bit sceptic about the entire Wii u, Was it a new console or was it just a new controller but then i realised, it's a entirally new console and way of playing games. The idea is, if you're playing on a game in the living room and one of the family members come in and want to watch something on the television, you've got to then Save your game and close the system...If you're kind. Or you could just not give a fuck and keep playing just to piss them off huh huh. With the Wii u, you don't have to give up the television, you can just go anywhere with the controller and keep playing the game and everybody is happy but It's more than that.

Me and my friend Andreas were playing Nintendo land before and i'm really surprised to what i played. ITS AMAZING. 2 Player games are well worked out. The best game on nintendo land for two players is luigi's mansion. The player with the gamepad plays as the ghost and you've got to attack luigi without being detected by luigi's flashlight and his buddys. There's lightning strikes to catch you out and make you visible to the other player. The ghost can reveal itself to make a trap for luigi or to run quickly. the player who gets the Wii controller is playing as luigi and you've got to catch the ghost out. As you're getting closer to the ghost the controller virbrates harder getting more and more intense as you get to the ghost.

We played all the 2 player games that were on nintendo land. but just by the homescreen menu's and the amount of content and social. It's a console worth buying. I'm not sure how far the graphics can be pushed. He's only got Nintendo land. ZombiU is next on the list.

me and the german have started a gameplay commentary channel and we are doing the weird and wonderful games that you find on the internet and in used games shops and car boot sales.

Thanks for reading

Unbuntu OS

You've probably guessed from the title that i'm talking about operating systems. There's android, IOS, Windows. These are the main 3 mobile operating systems that you'll find on smartphones of today. There's more though, There's webos, Symbian, Java os, Firefox OS. That's all i can think off the top of my head but there's one more.

Ubuntu OS, Apart from Webos, it's probably the closest linux Operating system there is. From what i've seen from ubuntu OS, it seems to have a sense of swipes and streaks to get things in the OS. Swipe from the left of the screen, you'll be able to access all your applications which is neat feature but you can get it on IOS using a well known application Cydia. if you're on the lockscreen and you've got a notification a glowing circle will appear on the lockscreen and i kinda like this feature. It's really nice. you'll need to make a full circle shape with your finger on the screen to access the application and go straight to that point. without these little features, it would just look like android for me. There's so many interfaces you can have until they all start looking the same.

I prefer operating system will a little it more interface to them other than the plain IOS. Unlock>select application> do whatever> come back out. you might think that's what android is but you've got widgets so you don't have to go into that application and if you've been mentioned on twitter, you can see it on the homescreen or if you're running 4.2 jellybean, you can have a look at your widgets right from your lockscreen.

Rooting better or is it all in my head?

I've seen many disclaimers with rooting, and i'm not talking about the disclaimer that if anything goes wrong, they aren't liable for your actions. Which makes sense because they've tested everything with devices multi-ple tested every single version to ensure there will be no problems to the device.
i'm talking about this disclaimer 'Just because your phone has a new OS it doesn't magically have an extra core or acquire extra ram'. That gets me onto my next point.

Manufactuers run skins on top of the android operating system and most of the time they are using more of the CPU power to run the skin. Getting rid of the skin will get you more CPU power. With rooting you can get rid of the skins and get the native operating system without all the skins lying on top and with rooting you can have entire control with the operating system. Not much control since it's android and right out of the box you can have launchers, change keyboards, add themes and you can add features from future versions of the android OS like quick settings on 4.2 jellybean.

with rooting, and Launchers, you can change the animation speeds, to extremely slow so you see the animation goodness or you can have no animations at all or you can have the speed in between.

this blog has probably made no sense but my question is. does rooting make your device go faster or is it all in the head? you can disable so many features to make the device run faster but if you didn't disable stuff, would it run faster or would it just run the same?

Blackberry 10 and minecraft

Merry christmas and a happy new year. Yes i know i might be late but it's better late than never really.
Over the last few days nothing has happened in the world technology but we know what we have been seeing a lot of lately. Blackberry 10 Leaks with their phones, The CEO going to basketball matches with a blackberry 10 devices, Maybe just testing it out in other places than the blackberry grounds or maybe it's actually fully working and it has been fully working for ages and he's just trying to advertise it Sly!

I've been playing minecraft on my android powered smartphone and it's become apparant to me that there's a lot of features missing from the mobile version. Like a lot, Redstones, Enderman, An actually storyline for minecraft, Lots of things. I'm not even sure you can make rollercoasters in minecraft on the mobile version. I remember 2 years ago playing minecraft on my PC, creating an underwater rollercoaster, you had everything. OK fair enough, you don't have pistons and sticky pistons but you can create a machine similar to it.

I've got Podcasts coming up of what i've talked about here and more. so keep tuned in for Techguy276. Youtube.com/techguy276
