Something that i've seen repeatedly on tech websites and android related sites is the swype keyboard functionality, I've always wondered what can this do for the average text inputter/sms messager. Even when i was using the iPhone, i always saw tweaks related to the swype keyboard for iOS and i always thought it wasn't executed well on iDevices. Personally i don't think this is nessessary at all. Sure it's a nice feature to have but for practical day to day use, It's not something that you have to live it, you can either disable or enable it depending on your personal preference.
in all honesty, it's a really good feature but the reason why everyone is going on about it, well i can't explain it. I'm much rather a tap typer since years of typing at a computer so i'm guessing we haven't evolved into swype typing yet.

Swype keyboard is basically a keyboard with a layer over the keyboard so you can rub your finger over the letters and it will input the letter. Say if you wanted to type in 'Android' Put your finger on A then rub your finger to the letter N then D then R etc and it would type in the word for you.
